B3 and XRPL Commons have unveiled the XRPL Gamechain, a new gaming environment built to bring mainstream players to the XRP Ledger. The project opens with a testnet version of Xcade, an online arcade featuring five hyper-casual titles designed for quick, mobile-first play sessions.
The move aims to make blockchain interactions more accessible and fun. According to Viktoriya Hying, co‑founder of B3 creator NPC Labs, the team’s research shows that simple, entertaining experiences are one of the strongest ways to increase meaningful on‑chain engagement. “We want to make participating on-chain and on the XRP Ledger accessible, fun, and entertaining,” she said.
Xcade’s initial catalog will be light and casual by design, with B3 planning weekly updates after launch so players always find something new. Users on the Gamechain can participate in tournaments, competitions, and game nights — and can earn XRP rewards for completing challenges. That reward model is possible now thanks to the June debut of the XRPL EVM sidechain, which adds the programmability and composability needed for these gaming mechanics.
For context, B3 began as an appchain ecosystem on Base and previously launched the BSMNT arcade there. The team says its wider network already supports more than 100 playable games and about 8.5 million onboarded wallets. The XRPL Gamechain is positioned as a way to grow daily active users for XRP and create new token utility beyond speculative holding.
Why it matters: Gaming can be a major onboarding tool for crypto if experiences are smooth and rewarding. That said, users should be mindful of platform and smart‑contract risks, and this initiative is not investment advice — utility and adoption are not guaranteed.
